News Round Up 2016

Universal has-all of the the Universal Orlando Hotels rent cabanas, they start at $100 a day, I think 4 seasons for example is like $200. GF does 1/2 and full days-$150 and $230.

I am pretty sure the Polynesian also used to have rentable cabanas. Surprised they didnt make it back to the main pool area and am also surprised the ones at the quiet pool are free.

That's an easy upcharge Disney could do and I'm surprised they don't.

That sort of arrangement seems very common everywhere (hotels, parks etc.) It's always struck me as terrible value, but not a big deal.

Unless, the area is designed in such a way there's no other shade... In which case it's cheap and scammy.

Yeah...you said it more eloquently than I could...

I get the need for luxury and special accommodations...
...but this type of thing just says "vanity". "Privacy" in a public area.

I love the Laugh Floor, and so does anyone new that I introduce to it. It's corny, but it's a lot of fun.

I find it an absolute bore myself.

I'm in the middle - we really like it, but DD wanted to do it twice in a row last trip. Don't ever do that. You realize it really is almost the exact same jokes every time, with a little bit of improv from audience response.

We rent shade every day when we are at Clearwater overnight.

I suppose they could just tack on the cost to each room and have a dedicated room umbrella or cabana-but that would be more than they need to put up each day, and some maybe most would prefer to not have to pay for one if they don't use it.
