I took the kids in today and the "usual" CMs were in. I asked if our store was closing and they told me no, they weren't closing but weren't sure what was going to happen. I mentioned, as I ALWAYS did, that they had to get the adult merchandise back in. To my total shock, they said THEY ARE!! Watch for adult merchandise and the "infant line" to return in August!! FINALLY!!!!

With Disney trying to find a buyer (highly unlikely) or failing that, deciding on closing them, I'll put my money on the later. Remember the Warner Bros. Stores? They also tried to find a buyer, but wound up closing them all.

The Motley Fool daily update (which I have already deleted), has reported that Disney is shopping for a buyer, they will close if no takers. Guess it all comes down to $$$. I will be sad to see them go.

i went into our store and EVERYTHING in the store was 50% off! (now the store has a limited selection on some things) i asked if the store was going out of business... she told me "no, the Lakeland store and the Sarasota store for the next two months, will be getting all the Floridas stores OLD merchandise... because they would be getting new inventory".

truth or fiction? who knows... but that's what i was told.

I heard from a friend that the Monroeville PA store (outside Pittsburgh) is doing the same thing - getting all old merchandise at a discount. She used to work at the store.

The store by me (if an hour away is considered "by" me) is always having a sale of one type or another. So 50% off doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Especially sense they never have anything I wan't to buy, exept a few antenna ball here and there.

I posted on another thread that I also heard about them bringing back the adult and infant clothes from one of the regular CM's at my Disney Store, but she said it might be a little later than August.
