News about the ABD photo CDs

It took 5 months and 2 weeks (from the last day of our trip), at least 4 phone calls and 2 emails to the Facebook AbD page, but we finally got our CD/DVD today!

The strange thing is that it took so long when some people got theirs right away and others got theirs about 6-8 weeks ago. I don't understand why they didn't make up ones for everyone in the group and mail them all out at the same time. Anyway, we're thrilled to get it finally.

I've already watched the slideshow and it was awesome! It brought back a lot of great memories.

I'm so glad you finally got your pics! My guess would be that you got caught in the transition from the CD's to the "Cloud" delivery. I'm totally guessing, but it was probably harder for them to get a re-print of your CD since they aren't using that service any more.

Boy I am very disappointed with the new format on picture delivery. Gone are the great memories captured along with music that can easily played at home. Now I have to go into a land I don,t know very well and try to download the pictures minus the great day stamps and music. I think ABD really made a bad decision IMO.....

Me too. :-(. Waiting on ours to be available online, but will miss the specialized slide show.

Why bother to reprint the CD though? I already had my CD, but I asked ABD to add our photos to the website and they did it within a couple of days and sent me an email with an attachment on how to access the photos. Even if YxlsMom specifically requested the CD, they could have at least have uploaded her photos to the website in the meantime. I guess I am being too logical.

Well, the biggest reason I can think of is that she *was* supposed to get the slide show! No CD, no slideshow!

Our photos are available today for our July 14 trip. They are lovely. Only disappointment is there are none from the finale dinner.
And... I do miss the slide show. But the rest are great!

I agree. They could even hire a 14 yr.old kid to set it up. Kids today are great with the computer whiz stuff.....
