Any parent will tell you, that there is nothing more painful as to see your child suffer. You know this better than many of us. I have read about Nate for months, and cannot imagine how difficult this has been for you. Remember, God loves you and will give you the continued strength to bear these difficult times. Nate is one of His Angels. You may believe that this internet "family" has been helpful to You, but please know that You have been so much more special to us. You have time and time again reminded us that life is precious. I believe God puts us on this earth with a purpose, and perhaps yours, and more importantly, Nates, purpose here on earth was to remind us, that life is short, and beautiful.
I do not claim to be a "holy roller", but I do believe God guides us throughout our lives. I feel blessed, that He has guided me here, and through You and Nate and you family, reminded me, there is no greater gift than love.
I will pray for You and your family that some day You will understand the gifts You have given us through Your suffering. Sounds familiar, huh?

I haven't been on these boards much the past few weeks due to some turbulence (which seems so insignificant now) in my own life. I've been following Nate's story since Chris first posted, but when I got an email from Andy alerting me to this thread, part of me didn't want to follow up on it, unsure that I could handle the news, with everything else going on.

As I sit here with my 9 month old DD, who was wide awake and ready to play this morning at 3:45 AM, I realize how much I have to be thankful for, how blessed we are. I'm thankful for the blessing of having met Chris, Eric, and their 3 beautiful boys through this board. You are in our thoughts and prayers every day, and are a continuing inspiration for us all to stay positive, have faith, and love others. We are all family.

May God continue to grant you strength and help you know peace.

I have not posted to the Page family, but, like so many, many others have embraced this adorable little boy and his family. My family and I will be flying to Houston to visit pagehouse this coming weekend. We were talking with Chris and Eric on the phone this afternoon. I will be sure to give Nate a great big kiss, and the rest of the Page Family, a great big hug from all the DIS'ers. I don't know who is more excited, the Page Family because we are coming, or my family, because we are going.

God Bless to all of Nate's family & to Andy's family, I am so happy to hear that Andy& his family are going to Houston! I am new here & just dont know the words to say, except that I will pray tonight for Nate.

Andy that is so special!
I tried calling Chris tonight and got Eric (what a great guy!!) anyhow I told him our thoughts regarding another cruise for Nates brothers, I would like to get that off the ground.
I hope I am not overstepping any bounds to say that Nate according to his dad, was doing better today. That is all I can say and I hope I did not violate the Page's trust to post that, I know it is such a hard thing for them. I certainly pray for Nate's brothers and hope than everyone else does too. It can be very difficult being the healthy sibling of an ill child.....

I have thought of the Page family all week and what they must be going through. Have emailed everyone I know and they have added Nate and family to their prayer chains. My married daughters, with their own familes, ask everyday 'how is little Nate'? Everyone is so touch by this special family, many of us share your pain and pray for you.

It is so very wonderful you are making plans to go out to see your DGson. You are wonderful people and share such a special bond. 'I can only imagine' how much this will mean to everyone.
