Sunday, 7/10:

Up bright and early to catch our plane... The room at the HI was great and we were SO tired we didn't wanna get up, but we did. The shuttle service was SLOW, but we got there, and it took us no time at all to get to our gate. Flight left Indy at 8:38 and by 10:45 we were landing in Atlanta for our connection flight. The rest was smooth sailing. At 2:06 pm, we landed in Orlando, got our bags, and met our 'driver.' We got a limo, so we rode to the resort in STYLE!

We get to our resort, the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and I immediately see that it is GORGEOUS, just like the pic said... I absolutely LOVED it. I took plenty of pics, but don't have those back yet. We checked in, and found out that they complimentary upgraded us to a pool-view room, but that it wasn't ready yet. So we waited and went to the gift shop (I had to buy flip flops, mine broke!!). Finally we got to the room, and it was AWESOME. Very African-safari type thing, which fit the theme of our resort BEAUTIFULLY!!!

We called bell service for our bags, changed, and headed to dinner... We ate at Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian. It was absolutely AMAZING. I had the filet, and DH(!) had the Wahoo (which was great!!). They added to our menus 'CONGRATULATIONS MR. & MRS. BROWN' which I thought was too cool!!! We had a mini wedding cake here as well, but I'm waiting on the pics of that!

Ok, so night after dinner, we went to Downtown Disney... We bought our Bride and Groom ears and a Christmas ornament that we had personalized with our wedding date. Since it was Sunday, all of the shops shut down early. So we went to Pleasure Island. It was so much fun. It was the first time I had been, and we went to the Adventurer's Club. This was like an interactive bar... we had SO much fun doing the induction ceremony... The drinks were good too!

At midnight, we headed out to go see PI's NYE Fireworks show, since every day in PI is New Year's Eve. They played good music, we danced, drank, watched our first fireworks show as a married couple! Then we went back to our resort to 'make some of our own' as DH says...

Congratulations! My brother got married July 2 and honeymooned there from the 4-19 (just got back last night.) Those bride and groom ears are definitely the way to go; they got lots of perks!!

Can't wait to hear more!

:)

Monday 7/11:

This was Magic Kingdom day!!! Got kind of a late start... But it was ok.

We got so lucky because right as were were walking into the park, the first showing of Cinderbrellation was going on. I love that show! It was so cute!! I have tons of pics, but not developed yet.

We spent WAY too much time in Tomorrowland, but the lines were long, and I really wanted to ride Buzz Lightyear and play the game. So we rode Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, The Carousel of Progress, and Stitch's Great Escape. We rode all of these, went and ate lunch, and headed to Toon Town. We immediately walked through Minnie's house, and headed to the Judge's tent to see Mickey. The line for Mickey was only 35 minutes long, so we jumped in. We went in, saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. Was going to take pics with my camera, but it was messed up, so we left, jumped the train to the Exposition Hall to get my camera fixed. Amazingly, it startd working without them having to touch it, so we just jumped the train back.

Went to Fantasyland from here... We rode 'It's A Small World.' And tried to get a Fast Pass for Peter Pan, but they wouldn't let us. So we just walked around and looked at the shops, the castle, everything.

At 7:15, it was time for dinner, so we headed to Cinderella's Royal Table, which is in the castle. The food was DELICIOUS! I had the filet (AGAIN), and DH had the lamb shank. Our appetizers were FABULOUS!

After this we headed out to see Wishes, and get our wristbands for the Extra Hours. Wishes was GREAT!! I have a lot of WONDERFUL pictures of it! Only downside, it rained all through Wishes, but it as still GREAT!

After this (and buying some ponchos), we headed out to ride rides... The park was open 3 hours later than usual, so we had until 2AM. We walked right on Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Pirates of the Caribbean. I was so glad that we saved the big rides for last, because the lines were SO long during the day, that it saved a lot of time doing it this way.

After that, we headed back to the resort to get some sleep... And well, you know.

Thanks!! It took a lot of convincing for my DH to wear them, but he did... And loved them!

Congratulations! My husband and I got married July 11, 1992 and wanted so badly to go to WDW for our honeymoon but just couldn't swing it. Glad it worked out for you, can't wait to read the rest of your report and enjoy more pictures!

Congrats to you both.

Enjoyed reading your report.

Lovely pix.

Thanks Amy&Dan, and Minniespal for visiting!!

I should have the energy *I hope* to do more tomorrow. Between work, moving, and just being tired from the wedding, I can't seem to get anything done! LOL...

Plus, we don't have any pics back yet. Hopefully this weekend!

Had we had to pay for it, we wouldn't have went either... My mother in law wanted so badly for us to go someplace nice, so she paid. And she was tore up when I picked Disney, but now that we've told her all about it, she wants to go!

Wow you have a really nice mother in law! The only thing mine gave me for a wedding gift was non stop temper tantrums and a pain in the you know what! But I did get a nice hubby out of the deal so I forgave her!

Congratulations!!!
I'm really enjoying your trip report. Can't wait for more!

Tuesday 7/11:

Tuesday was Epcot day... We were all ready to get up and go to the Poly for character breakfast (we had a PS), but we slept right through the alarm. :(

So, instead around 10:45, we headed to Epcot for lunch at the San Angel Inn... OMG! That was SO yummy! (I was lovin' the GOLD PLAN we had! Can you tell?!) I had a plate that had a taco, an enchilada, and a quesadilla... DH had chicken with peppers and rice. It was very good! First time eating there, and we'll DEFINITELY go back!!

Epcot was GREAT, we spent the majority of our time in the World Showcase. And unfortunately, didn't get to ride any of the big rides. We rode Spaceship Earth, the Rio del Tiemp, and Maelstrom. I get terrible motion sickness so TEST TRACK was out for me, as were Mission Space, and probably Soarin' as well.

We did a Leave a Legacy tile, which came with our package to commenorate our Honeymoon... It was so cool!! After that we headed to the Living Seas, for our PS at the Coral Reef Restaurant! My DH loved this!! He loves fish, and animals of any kind basically... The food was absolutely wonderful! I had the lobster, and a shrimp cocktail, and DH had the 'Tilapia Oscar.' There were divers in the tank while we were there, and the little boy next to us was absolutely freaking out... It was very cute!

We left the Living Seas (after walking around and trying to find the sea turtle in the HUGE aquarium), and headed to Moracco to go to our special seating area for Illuminations. Illuminations was GREAT!!! I loved it, and got TONS of pictures!

Here is a pic from our Photo pass at Epcot...

Well, it looks like I only have that one... I'll have to get the other ones later.

Wednesday 7/12:

This was Animal Kingdom day... We had SO much fun!!

We woke up, and headed out, wanted to get there fairly early to beat long lines and while the animals were active.

We arrive and the first thing I wanted to do was ride Dinosaur. The line wasn't too long (only 20 minutes), so we did... We loved it! It was so cool!!

After that we rode Kali River Rapids. I had always heard that you will get SOAKED on Kali, but we barely got wet. I was disappointed and since I was still burning up, I stuck my head until this found on the side of a building in the Africa section. After this, we headed to the Kilamanjaro Safaris ride...

We got there, and wait was about 45 to 55 minutes, I can't remember. So we got a fast pass, and decided to go eat lunch. We had lunch at a counter service restaurant called Tusker House. We both had the half Rotisserie Chicken meal, and it was YUMMY!! We ate, went outside and watched the African dancers perform. We still had some time to kill before our fastpass time, so we went to a giftshop, and looked around, finally it was time to go. We finally got on the ride, and my DH loved it!! He was SO excited to see all the animals! And most were pretty active, for it being 1:00 in the afternoon.

After this we headed to, Pangani Forest Trail to walk through it and see some more animals. Then it was off to Rafiki's Planet Watch to go to the Conservation Station... You learn all about animals, and how Disney's Animal Kingdom takes care of them.

By this time, it was time to head back for dinner at Rainforest Cafe. We stopped and watched 'It's Tough to be a Bug' featuring all the bugs from 'A Bug's Life,' which is so cute... Then it was off to Rainforest Cafe for dinner.

Rainforest Cafe was ok... I only went because my DH wanted to go. Appetizer was AWESOME, but the food was just 'OK.'

After this it was time for AK to close, so we headed back to our room. We had to get ready to head down to DTD for Cirque Du Soleil. Let me tell you something!! I am SO glad that I conned my DH into going (tickets were included in our package) because this was one of the best live shows I have EVER seen!!! I was absolutely in AWE for the whole thing.. I loved it, and so did DH!!! Which really surprised me. Once it was over, we headed back to our room, as most things in DTD were closing.

Thursday 7/14:

This was MGM day!!! Woo hoo!

We got up EARLY, and headed to Whispering Canyon for breakfast... It was very yummy, and very fun. I asked for Ketchup, but since they were very busy our waiter just hollered at some kid down the way to bring it to me. The kid was TOTALLY embarassed! Once we were done eating, we walked around the WL and talked about how we'd like to stay there the next time we come to WDW. It seemed very cozy, and I love the hot spring in the lobby!

So it was off to MGM... We got there fairly early, did our photopass thing as soon as we got there. Here are those:

LOVE THIS ONE!

Then we were walking back to go ride 'The Great Movie Ride' and we saw Chip and Dale signing autographs and posing for pictures. YAY! We'd been wanting to see them all week! So we got in line, but as soon as we did, their handler came up and said 'Chip and Dale have to leave, but Stitch is coming out..' Which was EVEN better, because I love Stitch! We were 1 person away from C&D when Stitch came out, but a CM pulled us aside and let us get C&D's autographs and a picture taken with them, then they stopped the line, and let the newlyweds pose with Stitch. A great bit of magic to start our morning!

So we left there and headed to The Great Movie Ride... The line was 35 minutes long and I really wanted to ride, so we rode it. I love this ride!! I can't say that enough! We got the 'gangster' sequence, although I wanted to go back and ride it again to see if we got the 'cowboy' sequence, but we ran out of time.

After the great movie ride, we walked around and we got our fastpasses to the Stunt Show and headed back to go to 50's Prime Time. We went in, got seated after about 10 minutes and had great service. I had Chicken soup for an appetizer, and DH had the Onion rings. We both got the Chicken Caesar Salad... For dessert, I had 'Smores (yummy, but huge!) and he had Dad's Sundae (again, yummy, but HUGE). After that it was time to head to the Backlot Tour.

The line for the backlot tour was like 45 minutes, so that was good, because we were close to the Stunt Show, so it wouldn't take us long to get from one to the other. Well, it started pouring! As soon as we got on the tram. And it poured for the whole ride... I love this ride too! I think it's very cool!

So we headed to the stunt show, and walked in with our fast passes... We get inside, and they delay the show, which was ok, because of the rain, I figured they would, well, we were going to the 3:15 show, and at 3:40 they said it would start in 5 minutes and it still hadn't started at 4pm. Well, we had a 4:15 PS at Mama Melrose's for the Fantasmic Package... So at that 3:50, I talked DH into leaving... As I was waiting on him to go to the bathroom, I saw a Manager, I think, and I said loudly to DH when he came back, 'Well, looks like we'll miss our reservation because they couldn't tell us the time it would start..' The lady Manager walks over and says 'Ma'am, we can take care of that if you'd all like to see the show. You go sit, and I'll call down to the restaurant, and tell them... Which restaurant was it?' So I tell her, and we go back and watch the show, which I LOVED. It was AWESOME!!

We get out of the show, and head to Mama Melrose's... We get there, and they tell us it will be a while, so we can sit down. We sit, and wait, and wait, and wait. Finally I go to the bathroom, and they call our name, but them 1 minute later, they say 'Nevermind, we have a problem and can't seat ANYONE.' So after another 15 minutes of waiting, I go ask a tentative time when we'll be seated, and they have NO clue. So I ask the lady if there is anyway we can go ride what we want to still ride, and then come back. She says yes, and I'll guarantee you all a table, be back here by 6:30. So we leave. We go see Muppets 3D, and we walk ALL the way to to RnR, and then it starts to POUR again. We go to the Fastpass distribution area and it's closed (mind you, it's only 4:30!), so we decide we don't have the time to ride it (YAY for me!!!) and we decide to just go walk around and window shop.

We start heading back around 6:15 and get to Mama Melrose's, we wait about 20 minutes or so, they seat us, and everything is DELICIOUS! I had the Penne ala Vodka, and DH had the Chicken Parmesan... Both were very delicious! Yummy!!!

When we finally leave there, we head to the Ampitheatre to get in for Fantasmic. We stop and look here and there, so by the time we get there, it's like 8:30. So we walk out and go look at the Villians store, and all sorts of places. We finally just decide to go and sit down, but it starts to pour even harder than before, it had stopped for the stunt show and during dinner. And they decide due to an electrical storm that they were postponing the 9:30 show of Fantasmic. I was SAD, I mean, I was upset because it was our last full night, and I saved that for last based on what everyone had said about it. So everyone left the ampitheatre and went walking through the shops... Finally, we got to go back in, and they just decided to do a 3-minute spectacle of fireworks, and then cancel it. So I was sad again... bu we talked to some CMs and they said that if it stopped before the 10:30 show that that show would go on. So we exited the theatre AGAIN, but this time, we all just stood at the entrance, and luckily, I had gotten stuck right up at the front, so I was able to be one of the first in line. We stood there for an HOUR waiting, and waiting. Finally they let us walk up a little further, because of the length of the line, and we wait for about 20 more minutes, and finally, they let us in. DH and I were so lucky and made friends with a couple and their DS while in line, who were from Puerto Rico, and we all sat together. We had second row seats and we were pretty much center! I could see everything, and I could feel the mist off the fountains. It was GREAT!! I love Fantasmic, and so did my DH! I was so happy that we got to see that on our last full night at Disney, but I was also sad, because I realized that once our visit to MGM was over, our trip soon would be too.

And our 7/15 departure day story, will be up tonight or tomorrow...
