Hi we are going to WDW in June and I was wondering how the disability access cards work. Thanks for your advice Andrea

:welcome: to the DISboards!

The "Disability Access Service" (DAS) is explained in the first post of the sticky thread pinned near the top of this forum: WDW -Disability Access Service. Don't be scared off by the length of that thread, the info is in the first post; the rest was long-ago discussion at the time the program was instituted. In a nutshell, the DAS is for people who need to wait outside of a standard queue environment; people who's needs can be met with a mobility device will not need the DAS.

You might also want to peruse the disABILITIES FAQs thread. There is a lot of helpful information there.

Feel free to ask questions as you plan. Many of us have children with special needs and we may be able to pass along some tips or suggsetions.

Enjoy your vacation!

Thank you. As long as my child does not try to cut her hair again I think it will be good.

She cut her hair and almost biz cut it a couple weeks ago to where we had to pixie cut.

And that has to do with the DAS somehow? I'm confused - although it does remind me of our first trip to WDW, right after DD#1 cut DD#2's hair and we had it cut really short to even most of it out right before the trip, She actually looked pretty cute with her short blonde curls :)

I think the joke was that as long as the OP's daughter does not cut her hair again, the trip will be just fine!

Sorry I was just trying to vent. It doesn't pertain to the das question I asked. I didn't mean to cause confusion.
