The "Disability Access Service" (
DAS) is explained in the first post of the sticky thread pinned near the top of this forum:
WDW -Disability Access Service. Don't be scared off by the length of that thread, the info is in the first post; the rest was long-ago discussion at the time the program was instituted. In a nutshell, the DAS is for people who need to wait outside of a standard queue environment; people who's needs can be met with a mobility device will not need the DAS.
You might also want to peruse the
disABILITIES FAQs thread. There is a lot of helpful information there.
Feel free to ask questions as you plan. Many of us have children with special needs and we may be able to pass along some tips or suggsetions.
