I went to a county-wide consignment sale today and picked up some baby clothes, a Medela Pump-In-Style that someone apparently opened and decided that they didn't want (I checked it thoroughly before I bought it), and a Bumbo baby seat. (They didn't have those when my other kids were little and I love them!) My sister is giving me her crib, another friend has a bouncy seat and a swing, and I think I am feeling a little bit better about getting rid of all my baby gear three years ago. I was afraid I was going to have to buy EVERYTHING again.

Mmmm... dinner at Red Lobster to celebrate and then Dairy Queen for Buy1Get1 Blizzards (which DH declined due to too much LobsterFest) so now I've got two...

Thanks everybody, I am SOOO excited. DH's raise is half of my salary and thats the lowest level (he said his military time might bump it up-- gotta love the way the government has pay levels!!) so I'm for sure quitting and FINISHING MY DEGREE!!!!!!!!!!!

OHMYGOODNESS!

I just had to share before I burst into flames (because I somehow doubt the jumping jacks I'm feeling the need to do are on a pregnancy approved list anywhere)

DH just got hired PERMANENTLY with the Federal Government AND bumped a pay-scale.
His job right now was a contract-to-contract basis, no benefits and his contract was up in September.

Now he's IN and gotten a raise and not only am I thrilled for him but I DEFINITELY 100% GET TO QUIT MY JOB NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it wonderful how everything just falls into place? I'm in the same situation...we are starting completely over. I've gotten TONS of clothes and one of my friends is throwing me a shower, which is just awesome. What made me feel was she said when she started calling people to get addresses, most of them offered to help and were happy to hear someone was throwing a party for me and how they had stuff for me,etc. I love my friends.

It will all come together, I have faith in that!

I went to a consignment sale on Friday...I spent 50 bucks and stacked up on lots of clothes and I can't even remember what else....but those sales are so fun!!!!

Awww congrats!@! I've always been afraid to venture into the "Dasani Girl" thread because it was soo massive and I didn't know what "Dasani Girl" meant.. lol
The pics made me tear up....soo precious! I hope to look as good as you did going in (and after!) and my labor goes just as smoothly! One can hope... lol

I'm here wishing my screwy sleep schedule tonight/this morning means labor, but no signs yet

Good Morning all!!!

Congrats to all of you who have had their precious babies since I have been gone!!!!

And welcome to all the newcomers!

I'm back!!!! Well, I have actually been back for just over a week but my in-laws have been here and I can't get on the computer as much since they stay in the room where its located. The trip was good-we had to make a detour in the middle of my lower AL trip to upper AL because my DH's aunt passed away and we had to go up for the funeral but I did manage to get back in time to work the last two days of the consignment sale. I got a lot of great stuff!

Now I have to catch up with whats been going on around here since I left! It seems like its been forever!

Congratulations!!!!!!! My DH works for the federal govt. too and you can't beat their benefits plus its VERY hard to get fired from the govt so he has great job security!! I haven't worked since we've moved up from the Keys to St. Pete 4 years ago. There are moments when working for the govt. seems hard but overall I love his job!!

I got a Bumbo seat too, at my sisters consignment sale. They are so cool!

I also got a Medela Pump In Style, a FP Nature's Touch papasan swing, a papasan bouncy, and lots of clothes and other things such as blankets and such. I still have the crib from dd.

I had to come home to my house still in renovation. We are switching bedrooms with dd and creating a master suite out of her bedroom. WE have the bathroom completed and the HUGE walk-in closet done-except for the carpet. This weekend DH plans on painting our current room for her (and eventually her little brother) and we should be able to move her into it next week. Then we have some demolition work to do on her current bedroom (we are taking out the closet in her room since we now have the walk-in closet) so we will have to sleep in the guest bedroom for a few nights. DH is doing all the work so it has to be completed around his work schedule.

On another note that I had to share, I had an u/s my dr. scheduled last week as a follow-up to my LEvel II I did a couple of months back. I just thought that was normal procedure but come to find out, the Dr. that did my Level II didn't tell my but there was apparently a little fluid around the baby's right kidney that my dr. wants to keep an eye on. She said that it wasn't enough to be worried about but that its still something they want to watch. I get to have another u/s next month, so if nothing else, I get to see him some more!!

Hope everyones week is going good. The weather has been so nice here I am ready to garden. My husband won't let me. So guess what. We have someone coming today to do it for me. He will be here this Tuesday and next Tuesday to get everything in shape and plant flowers. I think I can handle the watering.

I just made some reservation for Disney after Thanksgiving. I am a DVC member and I didn't think we would have a chance getting a 1BR at the Beach Club Villa's but we did. So we are going to stay 5 nights starting the Saturday after Turkey Day.

Don't know how close you are to Once Upon A Child but they have tons of baby clothes in their stores. Not so much baby gears but I did see some bouncy chairs in the store closest to us (which is about 1 1/2hr away).
I'm planning to hit that store again when we get closer to the delivery date.

Yes, I do have one very close by. I just didn't know what it was until I read Baby Bargains. It's been there forever and I've always ignored it. lol
