Newest "Moms to Be" Thread

I've heard that one. Total BS. A friend who's due next month told me her MIL gives her grief about that one. I responded by putting my arms over my head. I'm so defiant.

The weirdest one I heard is that if your nose widens, you're having a girl. :confused3

Yep, and if your face breaks out and your hair gets greasy, you are having a girl, because she is stealing your beauty!

Hey everyone!!! Wow, I can't believe how many new mommies have joined. Welcome and congratulations!
First I would just like to say that I didn't have any morning sickness with this pregnancy. My mom never had it with all three of her kids and we were all normal. (Well...a little goofy, maybe :rolleyes1 )
So if you don't have MS, don't worry! Not everyone gets it, just consider yourself lucky. I sure did. I HATE being sick, so I just think that God was giving me a break. :goodvibes

Anyway, we had an ultrasound on Wednesday and it's a little BOY!! We are so excited and he looks very healthy, all of his organs were there and doing great. And he yawned! It was so cute! He weighs 11 ounces.

Here are some pictures and video. His name is Brayden Michael :cloud9:

Hi Everyone!

First of all, I'm NOT a new mom-to-be. Heaven forbid! My "baby" is 17!! I am, however, a new grandma-to-be!

My first grandchild is due April 24th.

I'm really enjoying reading your thread and reliving all those exciting moments!

Happy pregnancies, everyone!

Yeah on the u/s!!! WOW!! What a cutie!!!

And Yeah on hearing the h/b Piecey!!

As for m/s...I pretty much feel like crap 80% of the time. With DD I had NO morning sickness. With DS, I had some. With this one...lots more, ugg.

I go Monday for my 1st appt and I think I'm getting an u/s!! (I'll be 10w)

Thanks.

is there anyone else out there who won't be finding out the sex??:upsidedow

We werent.. If it had only been one. BUT... Having 2 is WAY more stressful, so I would prefer no surprises AT ALL during this pregnancy/birth. :lmao:

Thanks.

I wish we didn't need to find out, but I just HAD to know if I was going to get a girl or not. :thumbsup2 If we had one of each, I wouldn't have found out.

Ok...I like this one. My face is breaking out this time...and my hair has been greasier.....the other times, I broke out a tiny bit in the begininng and nothing w/my hair., other than losing tons of it.!

I loose tons of hair when pregnant too.

We are going to find out the sex, but part of me would like a surprise this time. We have a DS (2) so I have alot of blue hand me downs...I need to know if we need some pink thrown in!;)

I have one of each, and no extra bedrooms to decorate. At first I said we wouldn't find out, since this is definitely my last child. But I just can't wait. I want to know now! So as soon as I have another sonogram, probably around Christmas, I want to know! I want to buy some stuff at the great after Christmas sales, and I want to pick a name.

Prenatal Testing: We have no plans to get any because we are low risk. I see nothing wrong with it in principle though.

Old Wives' Tales: The only one I really know is the needle test where you hold a needle on thread over your tummy and if it moves in a circle it's one gender and if it moves in a straight line, it's the other. I can't remember which is which. A lady wanted to do this too me when I first got pregnant. I had to remind her that the embryo had no sex organs at that point. ;)

Then I am totally having a girl! Pimples everywhere!

We are keeping it a surprise. I'll find out when he/she comes out. We're having too much fun guessing and prepare for both.

This is our first, and we're not planning on finding out. I like a surprise!

I would like to find out with any future children however.

IF that worked, it wouldn't matter. Once that sperm hits the egg it's already determined whether it's boy/girl... visible organs or not. :goodvibes

Yup...great after christmas sale stuff!! as long as child is cooperating, I'll find out on 12/9!! If it's another boy...I'm good, I have plenty of boys stuff.

My kids are 9 and 11-so I have nothing!!!!

I just placed a huge JCPenney order. If anyone needs maternity, they have tons of stuff in their outlet. I have lost wt, but my stomach is pudging, making my pants uncomfortable. That just started in the last few days. I ordered 9 shirts, a dress, and 2 prs of pants-along with monogrammed rolling backpacks and lunchboxes (regularly $100-now $9.99) and rolling duffles (monogrammed-normally $120 for $25) for each of my kids-all for under $180!

Ohhh. I plan to check out their Outlet store in Columbus next month.
I'm hoping to get some great stuff. :goodvibes
