I'm glad it seems like you went to a very good doctor, and here's hoping that you are pain free for the next 17 weeks!
I just found out in church this morning that my half brothers' half sister on their mother's side (confused yet-my father had 2 sons with his first wife, then she had a daughter with her 2nd husband-I go to church with the 2nd husband's sisters) was just told that her baby has downs. She is a year or two younger than me, and I think she is all to pieces right now. I don't know how far along she is-found out when one of my brothers came for Christmas that she was expecting too. My other brother's son has Cystic Fibrosis. I never cared for my father's ex, but I do feel for her that 2 of her grandchildren have serious disabilities.
. It was worth it, though. All the kids and half the teachers at school are sick. Both of my kids had subs today, and several teachers were out on my hall. I found out at least one of my students has the flu, and a girl passed out in my Calculus class today. I helped get her to the office, and now I'm worried about what she may have. If I don't catch anything beyond my sinus infection I'll be lucky.
AWWWW!!! Congratulations!!! Im sorry you have all been sick.hi all!
have not caught up on your posts...but wanted to share our news.
Tessa Brianne arrived on Friday, January 30th at 4:11 PM. It was the most wonderful Labor and Delivery ... she is an absolute delite!
Chaos has reigned at home, since we came home Sunday night...between the five of us there has been one trip to the hospital, two 102 fevers, a cold, two coughs and a bout of the stomach flu. whew. makes me tired to write it, much less live it with a newborn.
Somehow, thru is all we are all happy and Tessa is thriving.
Thank you to all of you for journeying thru this pregnancy with me - and giving me a place to talk about things when I was chained to the couch
Tessa was born 7 lb 15 oz and 21.5 inches long...only a 3 hour stint at the hospital til she was born!

Congratulations! And thanks for squeezing in an update to us with everything else going on in your house!
Thanks... I'm actually very okay with everything he said.
He said that the ER Dr. should specialize in doing his own job, not the surgeons. He asked me wha the ER Dr.'s said and I told him and he just shook his head and said "No." and walked me through everything.
He said IF the stones move into my cystic duct, it can be treated ways other than surgery. Surgery is a last resort option until I am at least 32 weeks.
I think we talked for a good 25 minutes, he didn't act like he was hurried at all which I LOVED about him. He was very honest with me and said that he had done the surgery on pregnant women before but he wanted me to stop and think about the scenario.
My gallbladder isn't going to kill me. It's going to make things very, very uncomfortable possibly for the next 17 weeks, but do I want to risk my baby's life for my discomfort?
No.
So I'll wait until there is no doubt that baby Lucas can make it if I were to go into pre-term labor and they can't stop it. Which he said is about 32 weeks.
He was very nice, honest, and I liked him. So often you feel rushed by Dr.'s and to know I was squeezed in today and he still took the time to talk me through everything, I feel very good with where we are.
I just hope I don't need to be hospitalized but he told me not to try to suffer through it, I'll just make it worse. He said to come in, get admitted, take the IV fluids for a few days and then go home.
So I'm crossing my fingers that I don't have to make that call.

So, I go in Thursday morning at 7 AM and we will see what happens. (Thursday, because that is the first date my doctor is available and if there is going to be a problem, then I definitely want her to deliver me).

Had our 2nd doctors appointment today and heard the heartbeat so we are excited now! Yay!

Great news! Not about the whole family being sick, about the birth of your daughter
So happy you had a wonderful delivery too.
