Congratulations! Wow, he would have been really big if they had let her go another few weeks!

Good luck on the delivery today!! Wishing you a healthy baby and healthy momma!!

So... Our news for today... looks like we are chucking the birth control as of today, and going for number five. :scared1: My husband is ALL for it. He is crazy excited at the idea of a new baby. Think maybe we are baby addicts??:lmao:

That is so awesome!!! :lovestruc You got the bigger apartment, now you have to fill it up ;) :rotfl:

I hope things happen quickly for you with no issues along the way.

I'm 75% sure I want a 3rd. 3 is my max, and we're going to wait a few years before we revisit the idea. I got Mirena so it'll take some thought and planning before we decide to have another. That is probably a good thing, when baby fever hits it hits hard!

Congrats on the new baby!

AFM Daniel turned 2 months old today and we celebrated with vaccines. Poor boy was not happy. But we did find out his current weight and my boy is now 14 lbs and 8 oz. He's a chubby little baby. He's also started to sleep 6 hours every night, yay! Life is great and I'm really enjoying my little boy.

Wow! You just have a lot of love! Lots of baby making dust!:wizard::wizard:

Hi,

I am a first-time Mom with a two week old son. :) I am posting to subscribe because I can sure use some advice :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Lisa

Welcome! Ask away!

Hi everyone. We had an ultra yucky day here. We had to put our 14 year old Aussie to sleep today. His name was Larry and he was the best dog and Natalie loved him. She keeps asking for Larry. She'll walk into another room and say Larry, Larry, Larry. It breaks my heart. My husband and I got him right after we got married, so he was our first "baby". He will be missed.:sad1:

I'm so sorry.

Congrats!! I'm glad everyone is doing well. Can't wait for pics!

Since we're talking about adding to the family...A lot of you thread veterans will appreciate this. I've began to contimplate baby #2. We won't start trying for probably 6 more months, but I'm actually thinking about it, instead of the instant, "no way in heck" attitude I've had since Lily was born. :teeth: If Lily's sleep wasn't such an issue, I'm sure I'd be in full out planning mode.

What are Lily's sleep issues?

And I thought you weren't having another because then you'd never be able to afford DCL! ;)

My husband and I had always talked about having two kids.... I am still all for it, but my husband is having second thoughts. We love having Brynn, but all in all, she has been a very easy, laid back baby. My husband keeps telling me that he is scared we might have a "real" baby if we have another one. I'm not wanting to try for one right now, but it would be nice to not have to 'talk him into' the idea!

Sleep is a lot better now than it used to be. She just HATES to sleep. Every time was a struggle. I tried everything from different times, white noise, temperature, sleep sheep, hot water bottles...it goes on and on. Anytime we attemped to CIO, she would make herself sick. She just hates to sleep and hates her crib even more. I guess my DH and SIL were the same way.

She still doesn't STTN and some nights are worse than others, but I absolutely love sleeping with her, especially as a working mom. DH is on me to wean her, because she won't drink milk during the day, but I think Lily and I are both pretty happy with how things are (most nights).

The first 6 months were soooo hard. I can't imagine going through that again.

All kidding aside about DCL :thumbsup2, having a second will be a rough financial decision. I don't know if my mom could handle watching 2 and with our shaky jobs, the next couple of years are going to be really scary. Plus we'd really need a bigger house.

Don't worry, you have plenty of time for him to change his mind. Just wait until she's moving and talking.:love:

Lucas (DS1) was the same way. He slept through the night at 6 weeks, slept pretty much all day in his swing as a newborn, was happy to play by himself (still is for the most part)... I got pregnant with Owen when Lucas was 5 months and DH was scared of the same thing. Everyone told him we wouldn't get another awesome baby.

Yes, Owen has been harder but not terribly so. I think we probably see him as more work than he actually is because he has all the medical issues. He's sleeping through the night now, is happy to watch us from his swing and sleeps most of the day in there. I do tummy time and playtime while big bro naps daily. Owen will be 12 weeks tomorrow and it's really not that bad at all. The most frustrating part is when they both want something at the same moment. Or when they both have poopie diapers and I have something on the stove. But those instances are rare and 20 minutes later, when they're both taken care of, things are 100% fine again and I don't know why I was so frustrated.

DH has no patience. None. He can't stand changing diapers, feeding a baby, etc... and the older Lucas gets, the more fun and interactive he is, the more he talks about the possibility of a 3rd here in a few years.

It's also amazing to watch Lucas with Owen. He loooves him. If Owen cries and I'm in the bathroom or something Lucas will take him his pacifier or a bottle (unfortunately it's usually an empty one lol)... he takes him toys, tries to hug him, puts his head on Owen's belly. I am so excited to see their relationship grow and am so glad they're close- no jealousy issues at all so far.

Sarah, I quoted you to reply but I'm out of time. I'll respond later...

I am back and forth about another one and I know I have time to decided esp since I would wait until Annabelle is at least 2 1/2. DH is saying "No more." He was never around babies much and he thinks our DD is hard to deal with but really she is an easy baby the problem is that her fussy time of the day is when DH gets home from work. I think his other problem is he didnt have a lot growing up and his vacations were always visiting family(who all live in the subs of Orlando) but only spent time with the family and went to the beach one day. In fact his first real vacation was our honeymoon to Disney so he wants to bascially give her everything he can. I dunno we will see where we are in a year or two.

We have a walker!!! Elliott has been standing on his own for quite some time. Been really cruising on the coffee table lately. The last few days we would stand him up, and he would pick up or shuffle one of his feet, but fall right away. Last night I was on the way to the sitter's house to get him, when I got a video message on my phone from her. He was walking!!! Got him home to show off his new talent, and he walked almost the whole way across the living room!

My older DS was slightly bummed, since Elliott started walking before he did. Older DS started walking at 10 months and one day, and E was 9 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day.

Yep!! That usually when we start talking about another kiddo. The twins will be two soon, and thats about when we start trying for another baby. We figured on waiting until they were two to start trying, but it took SO LONG to get pregnant with them.. Of course now I will probably be pregnant in a month!:lmao:

Tomorrow we will be a family of 8 for about a month or so though. My husbands brother is coming to stay.. We found out TODAY. :headache: The kid is 18, and coming from Germany. You would think we would get more then a DAYS notice.

I saw your post on FB and thought, "No way! She's preggers already?!" lol

It's so awesome of you to open your house to him though. I hope it all goes smoothly!

Ahhh!!! Couldn't find the thread!! Hopefully all is well with everyone!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Things are a wee bit better here. At least I don't cry everytime I look at a picture of Larry. Natalie still asks for her doggie. I am glad we have another dog to take her attention away. We took Natalie's Christmas picture over the weekend for our Christmas cards. It turned out so cute! I still can't believe that the Holiday season is upon us.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Happy Turkey Day! I'm thankful for this awesome group of moms that I've shared so much with. I wish we could all go back to the old days when we'd have pages of posts to read through everyday, but I still value the friendships! And I'm still super bummed that I'll miss you all at Disney World in the upcoming weeks!:grouphug:
