I'm hoping to get to Ft. Wilderness next year with my gang. We'll be bringing a pop up with a 15 passenger van. Is there any particular sites/loops that we should try to get or not get as the case may be? Also, if we decided to take the van to the parks sooner than use disney transportation, would we be able to park for free? Would using the van be a good idea or does it make more sense to use the parks transportation? Any other info, suggestions, comments would be greatly appreciated. Any must dos or must not dos while we're there? It will be my dh, myself and 8 of our dks. TIA. :goodvibes

Wow, that's a real crowd you have. As a guest at FW, you will receive a parking pass enabling you to park at the parks for free. We take the truck sometimes, sometimes take Disney trans depending on where we are going. The boat to the MK is really convenient, so we seldom drive there. Sometimes we take a circuitous route to Epcot - boat to Contemporary, monorail to TTC, monorail to Epcot. We usually drive to HS and AK. With a pop up, you can stay at a partial hookup loop since you don't need full hookups - 1500 or 2000. That will save you some bucks on the campsite.

How big is your 'gang?' There is a limit on number of people on a site, plus a fee over 2 people per day. In addition, are you planning to put up tents in addition to the popup? There is also a limit as to what can be setup on a site.

If I read correctly, you can have 10 people per site, which is what we were planning. When I plug in dates and put in two people or ten people, Disney is quoting me the same price, is that correct? We have a big enough popup to hold all of us as most of them are younger children, so no, we won't be putting up any tents.

You only get charged more if you have more than 2 adults on the site.

With that many I'd drive between parks.
I was on several completely full buses last time.
Very uncomfortable.
