We were just at WDW and while there, my husband and I did a bit of looking at pins. Neither one of us really wants to become hardcore pin collectors (yeah, I am sure that is what they all say!) but he saw a few that he was interested in. He loves trains and I snuck around and bought two pins that were "train" themed while we were there.

The other set was the different buses that were apparently handed out when the Magical Express thing started out (at least that is what my on-line research seems to tell me, although we did get the cruise line one on the Magic while we were there.). I was able to bid on a group of five of the buses on ebay and won that auction. Is there somewhere that I can look on line to see if there are more? I'm going to put them in my husband's stocking, but I'd like to get them all if there are more. Is there a book or a website or something that would list all the pins in the series?

Also, is there a place on the internet, besides Ebay that you can buy pins? I looked but didn't seem to find an 'Official Disney Pin Store" or anything like that. I've come across a few auctions for train pins that I thought he might like, but the way a few were worded, they didn't seem like official Disney pins and I would hate to get something and find out that it isn't the real thing.

Sorry for all the questions. :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

pinpics.com is our on-line bible.
You won't see value. (Prices are original cost.)
But it is a great data base for keeping your personal inventory and listing traders and wants for on-line trading.

My Pinpics ID is Omega.

Transportation is one of my (many) Disney pin themes.

You can also buy pins from DisneyDirect.com.

While you can't see "value" on PinPics (eBay is really the only large marketplace for pins) on PinPics you can see the # of people who are trading a pin, and the number of people who want that pin. That gives you a decent idea of the relative value.

Good luck. It's a fun (and expensive) hobby.
