I've never been to WDW before, and it looks like QS DDP is going to be included with holiday price.

Could someone explain how it exactly works please as I'm a little confused?

Do you have to choose off a set menu, choose whatever you like, are you allocated so many meals per magic band, and its just deducted from there?

We once pre paid for Dining voucher at DLRP, and you were limited to a specific menu only depending on your voucher value.

Also, could you splurge and use 2 QS meals for one Table Service meal, or do you have to upgrade to a Table Service dining plan to do this?

Thanks

This brochure has all of the information about QS Dining Plans https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/m...altDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2016QuickService.pdf

Basically each person in your party will get 2 QS meals 1 snack per night. So, for example, a trip for 5 nights with 4 people means you would have 40 QS meals and 20 snacks as a party. These credits are all pooled together and can be used freely, not per magic band. Everyone's magic band in the party will have "access" to the full amount of meals/snacks and you can use as many or as little as you want per day. Just remember that if you have, say, a vacation with 5 nights but 6 full park days, you will want to reserve some meals for that 6th day (meaning don't eat 2 QS per person for the first 5 days or you will be out of meals by the 6th and need to pay out of pocket). I hope that all made sense :)

When getting food, you can get anything you want off of the menu! It does not matter what the entree price is. Also, all of your credits are good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. So, if you never want to use credits for breakfast and only want to get lunch/dinner meals, you are completely free to do so. You tell the cashier prior to ordering that you are using the DDP and specify how many meal credits you wish to use. This is what constitutes as a QS meal:
Breakfast: Entree and Non-Alcoholic Beverage
Lunch/Dinner: Entree, Dessert, Non-Alcoholic Beverage

There are TONS of snacks you can choose from- basically all of the menus will have the DDP snack symbol next to the snack items (they show it in the brochure link I posted). Sodas, cupcakes, ice cream bars, popcorn, etc etc. You will be so surprised by all of the snack options!

Lastly, you cannot use 2 QS meals for one TS meal. You would need the TS plan for that.

Edit: ALSO, since you will be staying on property, each member of your party will get a refillable mug to use at the hotel. This can only be used at resorts- not parks- but will give you unlimited refills for soft drinks, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate!

It's nice to have an idea of where you would like to eat ahead of time also! Here on the dis, or at allears.net you can look up the menus of the QS restaurants in the parks, resorts and downtown disney.

You will see you can get ribs and chicken at Flame Tree BBQ, steak at Liberty Inn at Epcot, wonderful pizza and entrees at Wolfgang Puck Express in Disney Springs, which you order your food QS. Style, but it is served to your table and drinks are refilled etc.

So, there's a huge variety of choices and you can choose whatever you want!!

I agree! It feels so good to eat at Wolfgang Puck Express or other QS locations where you get the most bang for your buck with the free DDP haha!

Are you from the UK? Is your trip for 2016 or 2017? If you are from the UK and you're going in 2017, you might want to go to the UK board and ask the same question. There are some rumored changes to the UK dining plan and it may not work exactly like the U.S. plan.

Sorry to hop on, but I had another question. If I am ordering at a QS at my resort, since I already have my refillable mug, do I still get a drink with my QS meal that I can substitute for something else, or is the refillable mug count as your non-alcoholic drink at a resort QS?

You get another drink, mostly anything you want, non-alcoholic. There have been various reports of people substituing drink for a snack but not everywhere.

Actually this is written into the brochure, so you can do this at all QS restaurants. You can switch your drink/dessert entitlement to anything with the snack logo next to it.
