Hi..I'm new to this board and new to the idea of DVC. Some basic questions:
What is ROFR?

How much is annual maintenance fees? Do they increase annually, or ever?

Is it guaranteed that the "point" cost of each night at each resort will remain the same until 2042?

What happens in 2042?

Thank you so much for any info you can offer. I sent for the video from Disney today.

Here is a recent history of the annual fees:

OKW - $3.16/$3.13/$3.22/$3.49
BWV - $4.02/$3.83/$3.92/$4.10
HHI - $3.26/$3.32/$3.49/3.69
VB - $4.08/$3.98/$4.17/$4.37
WVL - NA /$3.63/$3.80/$4.05
BCV -- NA /NA /$3.77/$3.97

The dues will change each year (sometimes they have gone down), but have averaged at about a 3% increase annually.

Magical Beginnings is a discount offer for direct DVC purchases where DVC will buy your first years points at $10-$15 each (depending on the resort) and apply that amount to your deposit.


The point costs for a stay can change, but if some nights increase others MUST decrease since the total number of points cannot change. This has happened only once- at OKW in 1996.

Currently the program ends on Jan 31, 2042 and all ownership reverts back to Disney.
