After Hawaii next June, we want to go to Italy with Adventures by Disney but won't have enough points for another year or two. Can we bank for two years and then go in 2015?

Also, can someone please explain the "Use Year" and when our dues are due?

Newbie and I want to fully understand my membership!

Let me take a crack at this....
1) Dues are always due in January and it has nothing to do with UY
2) You can borrow, use current year and bank so in essence if you want to travel in 2015 and need 3 years worth of points you would need to bank your 2014 points, use your 2015 and borrow from your 2016. You can not borrow 2016 and 2017.
3) Use year is simply a 12 month period from when you get your points. It has little to do with the actual year but everything to do with when you travel So I have a June use year and in June of 2012 I got my points. If I want to travel between June 1 2012 and the end of May 2013 these would use my 2012 UY points. On the other hand if I want to travel in June of 2013 I would use my June 2013 points. I can bank my 2012 points if needed. Think of your use year as a 12 month window in which you can travel using those points. If you are not going to travel in that window you need to bank them. Once banked they must be used in the banked year. I hope that helps...

You can only bank one year's worth of points. You can borrow one year's worth to get a total of three year's worth if that is what you want to do.

But, and only in the situation, if your trip spans your UY (meaning, if you have a Sept UY, it starts in Aug and ends in Sept), you can borrow one more years worth of points. You would book the days before the start of your new UY with the banked points and "current " year points. Then book the night starting on the 1st with the new "current" year points and the borrowed points.

However, since ABD trips are not per night, but for the entire trip, you couldn't use the four year situation.

Right now, we only have 160 points but am looking to upgrade soonish. We may just buy the ABD and then use the points for other things.
