We really want to do a cruise July '05. There a so many considerations, but mainly:
1. Who to book through Disney,
Dreams Unlimited or another TA?
2. We would like at Cat 4 ,but if MIL
comes with, we are at 6......what
are our options for cabins?
3. How much would we save by
booking early? (we are not 100%
sure we will be able to go)
4. What are the chances the
summer cruises sell out?!?

I would appreciate any info!!!! Thank-you!

1. I'd suggest booking with DCL, then researching your TA options and transferring to the people who suit you best. Dreams Unlimited sponsors these boards, and that's who we transferred our ressies to.
2. I assume you have 5 in your family. Many people have done these comparisons and it seems either 2 cat 10s adjoining or a verandah room across the hall from a cat 10 (assuming your kids are old enough to not have you right there with them) seem to be the most popular choices.
3. By booking with Dreams, if the $ drops, they will get you the lower price. But in popular timeframes, the price seldom drops. The only thing you lose by booking early is tying up your deposits. If you cancel at more than 60 days out, you can get all your money back.
4. Summer cruises are pretty popular since DCL is a family oriented cruise, and lots of people don't want to take kids out of school. I would think it's more likely for a summer cruise to sell out than a cruise in late September or early October (height of hurricane season).

Good luck!

Thanks so much for the reply. I did get a quote from DU they were about $600 cheaper than the Disney Web site quote.

I just don't know yet what to book....... We do have 5 in our family.......I would like a cat 4, but do not want to exclude MIL......I like the idea of a verandah room across the hall, that may work What cat. are the verandah rooms?

Thanks!

The verandah rooms are categories 4, 5, 6, and 7. The category 4 rooms have 5 berths; most of the category 5 & 6 rooms have 4, although some have only 3; the category 7 rooms, which have a partially obstructed view, have only three berths.
