Newbie questions for first SSR stay

Hello,
First I want to send a thank you to all the posters on the DIS DVC boards. I reviewed these boards before we made our DVC purchase looking to see if it anybody was unhappy with their purchase. I didn't read anything that kept us from buying, in fact it was a no-brainer after everything I read. Well next week will be our first trip home to SSR. We arrive on a Sunday.
My questions:
1.) What is the earliest that we can check in?
2.) Can we purchase AP at SSR or do we need to head over to DD or one of the parks?
3.) We are driving so we will have our car with us. What is parking like? How far away from the room can we expect parking to be?

I believe 6am.

For an annual pass you will need to go DD or the parks. Make sure you have your blue DVC member card for your discount and photo ID.

3.) We are driving so we will have our car with us. What is parking like? How far away from the room can we expect parking to be?

Parking is excellent with parking lots near each building.
