I'm running (okay, walking) the Halloween 5K with a group of people and I have a few questions that I'm hoping some of you can answer.

1. At least one person in our group will have a stroller and is signed up for the stroller division. Will this person be on their own or can we all go together. I was kind of hoping for us all being together for support (see p

2. Not everyone has trained. And by "not trained" I mean I don't even think they've walked it. Do they enforce the 16 minute mile?

3. How early do we need to get to the AK parking lot if the race starts at 7:00? How will our group meet up if we're in different divisions (stroller vs. regular)?

Thanks!

I am also new, but I'll try to help since no one else has :)

1. From my understanding you can move into slower corrals, but not up. So you may be able to start with the strollers.

2. Yes, but a bit more loosely in the 5k. And the start time is after the last person crosses, so you will have a few minutes cushion. However, if they are doing 20 min mi, I would be worried....especially since strollers start last and that gives them less cushion and the stroller itself will make them slower.

3. You need to be there by 6:15 at the latest. I would suggest aiming for 6 or even 5:45 to be on the safe side. You'll end up in the same place, so I would think just call them and say hey, where are you? :)

1. You can absolutely go back to the group with the stroller. They don't care where you start if you want to move backwards and to be honest they don't really have corals for the 5K, kind lining up based on time but nothing strict.

2. I have never witnessed Disney sweep at a 5K, so if you are making an effort at all I think they will let you finish. I wanted one family saunter in really slowly with clean up vehicles on their heels but they let them finish.

3. I also recommend getting there at least an hour before the race start. I would pick a meeting place ahead of time. It gets really loud and crowded at the start and you might have trouble catching up with each other if you try to meet at the corral. I would say to meet by a landmark or location you all know, then go to the corrals together.

Most of all, have fun! Disney races are all about fun. (and try to talk your friends into a little bit of training for good measure)
