Newbie question

Will be staying at WDW and will be checking out and heading to US for 1 night/2 days. The night before we head over to US will be a late night at MK, so I know getting the kids up will be difficult. They are teenagers. That explains it all. I imagine we will get there by mid to late morning since we need to check out of our Disney hotel by 11 I think, then check in to the RPH.

We will be staying at the Royal Pacific so I know I get the express pass, which I am looking forward to trying!! So here is my question-which park should we go to on the day we check in? IOA closes at 9, and US closes at 10. Have not bought my tickets yet, but I will be getting hopper tickets so we can go to both parks each day.

WDW I can navigate, but US is all new to me. Need some help from all you experts!! Thanks!!

Depends on when you are going, if you are going after DA opens then I might steer you toward IOA first and then over to US later on. We found with WWOHP that we try to go there in the evening when it just doesn't feel as crowded as first in the morning.

Especially since you are going to want to use the early entry to see DA the next day make sure those teens get their happy tails up and going that morning. They have a great take and go breakfast area at RPR that won't entirely kill the budget.

We tend to go to the right and hit up Suess Island and make our way around that way at IOA, then by the time we are over at Toon Lagoon we are ready for water rides .

We are checking in June 25, and leaving when the park closes on June 26th. Then we are going back to WDW. I guess I need to look at a park map. I have no idea where anything is. My daughter and her friend are definitely thrill ride fans. My son, not so much. None of us are HP fans, although the kids do want to see and experience it. My son says he wants Butterbeer, whatever that is. I am not a HP fan and will not be going on the rides.

Where is a good place to look at park maps? Should I just go to the Uni website?

The best place is the Universal website. You should also go to YouTube and check out ride videos for the attractions you're interested in.
