Does the 2009 Use Year end in 2009 or begin in 2009? We chose a UY of June at BLT. We will be closing any day now (we split into 2 contracts and one has closed already). However, in looking at the member site, it is unclear to me whether our first set of points expire May 2009 or 2010. I thought it was 2010 since we cannot travel on them until August due to BLT's opening date.

However, the website states that we don't have any points that can be banked and that "This Use Year's remaining Vacation Points for Member ID number _______ will expire on the last business day of May 2009." I am hoping that those are standard statements on the site, but I wanted to confirm that since I cannot travel until August, there is no way my first year's points could be expiring in May.

I left a msg. for my guide, but thought if someone had a quick answer, that would help me sleep tonight :-) I'm sure I'm just being paranoid - I thought I understood pretty well how this works, but now I'm not so sure!

Also, we are doing the cruise incentive. I know we cannot book it until we receive our voucher. BUT will they tell me about availability on my preferred dates prior to receiving the voucher so I can start looking for an alternate date if the cruise or BLT is unavailable then?

Thanks for the help. I can't wait to book our cruise, and we're hoping to have our first BLT stay in conjunction, so I'm wanting to start planning the trip!

The points they are selling for BLT are June 2009 and are current from June 1, 2009 until May 31, 2010. Of course, as you know, you cannot use them for a stay until BLT opens. If you need to bank them you will have until Jan 31, 2010.

It is June 2008 UY points that will expire by May 31, 2009, but BLT did not have any 2008 points.

Mine says the same thing and I believe it is because the system is still recognizing that it is the June 2008 UY. Since we didn't get June 2008 points, it is showing there is nothing there to bank as well as the fact that the points expire!

Congratulations on your new contracts!!!
