Newbie question ... booking resort other than home resort

Im brand new to DVC so please forgive my ignorance! We just booked a trip for Jan 2022 using our initial 150 points. Yay! We have a Feb UY at CC. Looking ahead to our next trip, when can we book a trip for resort other than our home resort. I know its 7 months out vs 11 months but when does that clock start? If the 150 points will appear in my account in Feb 2022, when can I log in or call to make that reservation? Do I have to wait until Feb 2022 when those points are actually in the account? Would I be able to use these points for an August 2022 trip? Or do I have to wait til September 2022 to use them?

If you log into your account, then click on My Dashboard, then scroll down to Booking Window Calculator and put in your desired travel dates it outlines it nicely. For example (I'm Feb use year too), for Aug 19, 2022 check in date, it would give you this result (so a trip in August 2022 not at your home resort you can see you can book in January of 2022). Your 2022 points are already in your account - you just can't use them until 7 or 11 months out depending.

Points are always there. Basically whenever you book your stay it takes points from whatever UY that stay will occur.

Book a May 2022 trip now or in August or next March it will still always be your 2022 UY points (Feb 2022->Jan 2023).
