What is Bazzill paper? What is the point of Bazzill paper versus regular cardstock? What am I missing?

Thanks
Michele

Bazzill is a brand of cardstock. It is thicker than the cardstock you might buy in a pack from Michael's or JoAnns. The paper is also textured, which helps give your pages a more elegant look, IMO. I use a lot of bazzill and a lot of regular cardstock too, it just depends on what I'm trying to accomplish. And it comes in a ton of colors.

Is it the Doodle Bug brand that Bazzill co-ordinates with?

I like the Bazzill as it is thicker (though my punches hate it) and I can use the textured side and the smoother side for double matted layouts. And because it is a named brand, you can find the exact color to match others you may receive from a swap to complete a page.

There are different lines that coordinate with different brands of patterned paper. Not just Doodlebug, but Chatterbox, Basic Grey, Scenic Route, SEI and I think a few others.

I love Bazzill paper.
I always used plain carstock until I did my first Bazzill swap. It is addictive. Since I received my first swap back (I had storebought item so I didn't use the bazzill on my spot) I have NEVER used any other cardstock.
there are many different textures and many different colors.
All the swaps i host only use bazzill and I list certain colors to use and people use those colors and all the swaps turn out beautiful and MATCHING well.

If you want to see different swaps I have hosted or swaps that were hosted on my board just check out my link.
the paper is NUMBER ONE in my book./

Where do you get it?

I find it mostly at LLS in my area. J's used to carry a few packs but have clearanced them at my area stores. I think they still may have them online. Several other online stores also carry it. Beware, however, you may find that once you start using it, you won't want to use anything else. :teeth:

I bought one of the last packs at J's last weekend.. I went in 2 weeks ago and they had bunches.. nothing left after my package... According to one woman she said not to expecting any either.. (now she wasn't a worker, so that may have just been her complaining).. I must say.. I love to work with it..

AC Moore sometimes carries a few basic colors of Bazzil and some fours packs, mostly you have to go to a scrapbooking store to find it. Or order on line if you don't have the resources around you. The quality is incredible and the colors are great! They do match perfectly with many of the other designer companies, and they just make your projects look more professional. For stamping purposes, I use the other side which is smooth or I prefer Stampin-up paper which has the same bond thickness, just not the texture.

I'm lucky to live in the area where Bazzill Basics is, and they run a scrapbook store, so I mostly get it direct. Joanns.com carries it in packs of 50 so you can use a coupon. Hobby Lobby also carries a selection of colors.

I want to say that ours clearanced them back in July. I had a similar experiece with J's, except it was with the American Crafts Elements ribbon. Saw a whole display one day and when I went back two weeks later, I couldn't find it anywhere. When I asked about it, the gal told me they had clearanced it and she had just taken down the display! This was the Castleton store, btw. I found it at the Ft Wayne store about a month ago- go figure! My bet is it won't be there when I'm up there on Friday! :rotfl:
