Hopefully this is the correct place to ask this. Our oldest DS is listed as an Associate on our contract (and therefore does not have his own Member Card). We have an upcoming vacation that he will be able to join us on. He is listed as one of the people on the vacation guest list, but there is a chance he will arrive before we do at the resort since it will be later in the evening before we can get there.

Can he go ahead and check into the room since he is one of the listed guests and an Associate, or since the reservation is in our name as Purchaser and we are listed as being in the party, does he have to wait for us to get there and we have to be the ones who do the check-in? If he can go ahead and check into the room, he will probably plan to arrive around check-in time so he can get settled and relax/use the facilities until we get there.

Hope that makes sense.

If he is on the reservation and 18 or above, then he can check in. I am not sure if they will require any DDP payments at that time.

Thanks for the input. I was hoping that would be the case. This is just a weekend trip, and he is in college so he is going to meet us. He is 18 and due to it being only a Fri/Sat night stay, we aren't doing any extras like the DDP. It is just a straight DVC resort room check-in for five of us. We can plan any additional resort activities we may want to do when we get there and see what is listed on the perks sheet.
