Hi

I just passed ROFR on my first DVC contract on 5/13  so this is really a newbie question. When I passed I looked over my contract again and noticed that I have 4-'03 points coming and all 150-'04 points coming (Dec UY). I knew I had these pts. when I placed my offer but totally zoned on that fact until now. Since it is Dec UY it is unlikely that things will be finalized by May 31 for me to bank 100% of the ’04 points.

We already have a trip planned to AKL July 11-17, 2005 and I’m not interested in changing those plans to use these pts since the kids are looking forward to AKL. What I’d really like to do is to give my points to other family members (family of 5) who have never been to WDW. I’d like them to come the same time we are there. I’m thinking I need to get two studios because there are 5 of them and this is the cheapest point option. I know I’ll have to borrow future points to do this but that’s no problem given our future travel plans. What are the chances I will get 2 studios during that time-anywhere-with only about 1 month notice?

I’d really like to do this for this family, so any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

Ohh boy! That is hard to guess. If they are not picky about where they stay, I would guess that either OKW or SSR could have availability. Now, with 5, they could all stay in a 1-bedroom too. That is a possibility if the studios are sold out. I have found that a 1 bedroom at the BWV seems to be available quite frequently. Anyhow, good luck.

I'd recommend a one bedroom unit as well. There are no connecting studios at any of the WDW DVC resorts and no guarantee that the two rooms will be near each other.

MS will allow 5 in a one bedroom - but the guests will have to provide bedding for the 5th person. The 1 bedrooms have a king in the Master and a queen sleep sofa in the lviing room. Perhaps the family could bring along an aero bed or sleeping bag/air mattress for one of the children.

I think you will be able to get something for that time period as long as you aren't too picky about where. My advice is to go for OKW - it has larger one bedrooms and takes less points than the other resorts.

Good luck-
