Newbie Points question

Can anyone tell me how it works with points if your stay spans more than one season? We are trying to determine when we want to go for our first trip home and one option has us checking in during Dream but crossing over into Magic. I know with a regular room ressie you pay the rate at check-in for the entire stay. How does it work for DVC?

DVC you pay the per night rate. So when seasons change your rate can go up or down, it is not frozen at the starting date rate as are ressies from CRO.
