My husband and I are planning a trip to Dinsey world with our daughter who will be 4 at the time. We know that we want to stay at Coronado Springs. I called to book our hotel room for October 14-22 but now we have noticed they are offering Magic your way dining for free 2 weeks before. I was wondering if this is a good deal to take advantage of? Also, should I book our park tickets at the time of the room? That makes it a "magic your way vacation package" right? One more thing, if you book a magic your way package can you get the AP rates?

Thank you for ANY info you have!

1) If your family eats a lot of food, then yes, the free dining special is worth it. If not, then it is not worth it, since you will feel the need to stuff yourself with each meal and to have a sit-down meal everyday to get your money's worth. Some families do not need to have a sit-down meal everyday, so the dining plan would not be "worth it" for them.
2) I think if you want the free dining deal, you have to book your tix and room at the same time. If not, then you do not have to do this. You can buy your tix through a ticket broker such as Ticketmania and get a discount.
3) You can book room and buy tix at the same time, and still get AP rate. However, you cannot get the AP rate with the free dining special.

I hope that helps!

Just wanted to point out that if you wanted to stay at CSR many of the dates for the free dining are currently sold out. So, it may be difficult (not impossible) to get. So, if you wanted to change your dates you may want to act fast or keep trying if this is the way you want to go.

Good Luck! Hope you have a magical vacation!

Hello,
Well, my husband and I have decided to stick with the dates I booked already, and we are just going to wait to see the AP discounts for the time we are going. The dining thing really isn't what we need either, we decided. Thank you very much for your help. We are really excited to go on this vacation, and my daughter is too!!! She asks almost every day if we are going to Disney World today? I haven't been to Disney since I was a kid. My grandparents have lived there almost all my life, and we would go every year.

Thanks again,
Jenni

Hi we are staying at Coronado Springs first week in Oct for the first time. I am so excited. Hope you have fun!!

By the way, if you do not have an AP pass then this dining option is a great deal and I highly doubt something else better will come out. Even if you don't eat ALL the food offered it sorta is like an all-inclusive since it includes snacks, tips, gratuities etc... and it would allow you to go to some really great restaurants. I have an AP and originally booked room only rate but switched to a 8 night free dining package as it was a better deal, esp when there is 2 or more in your room.

But if you plan on doing lots of quick table service meals only then it might be better for you to stick to what you have. You could always book the first week in Oct and keep both, wait for the AP rates to come out and then compare. You could drop whichever one you don't like. I would hate for you to not do this and then find out there are no great AP rates. It is only $200 to hold the ressie and then you will be reinbursed.
