Ok. So I am completely new to the board. We got word at the beginning of October for our date. We are getting married October 1, 2008 at the Wedding Pavillion at 2:30. The reception is at the Boardwalk Ballroom. I have my dress already and that's about it. I have about a million and one questions running through my head.

Has anyone had their reception at the Boardwalk Ballroom? How was it?

In the Wish Book it gives you pricing for a dance floor, so should I assume that I will have to pay for a dance floor to be set up?

How far in advance can/should you do a planning trip?

Any regrets people had about their wedding...something they wish they did or wish they didn't do?

Anyone use an outside DJ?

Anyone used Brewer Photography before?

What did you do for transportation for your guests from the ceremony to the reception?

And favors...I need ideas for favors that kind of go around a Cinderella theme that will be easy to transport from Pennsylvania on a plane and will not cost a fortune.

Hmm that's all I can think of right now, but I am sure I will come up with more shortly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I feel kind of lost right now. I want to get to planning more, but I don't know what I should be planning with almost a year to go.princess:

Hi! Here's what I know!

How far in advance can/should you do a planning trip?

The rule of thumb is 4-6 months. Any earlier than that and they can't give you guaranteed pricing. Any later and you'll freak out like I did! :lmao:

What did you do for transportation for your guests from the ceremony to the reception?

We're going to have a charter bus pick up our guests at their (Disney) hotels and take them to the ceremony, to the reception, and back to their hotels. The bus will come back for them that night to take them to the dessert party and home again.

Hope this helps!
