Newbie needs help with buying points.....

Hi

I am hoping someone will be able to help me out. I was looking into buying points for my upcoming trip on 5/13-5/19. I looked on the buying/selling board but was way to confused

How many points do I need to purchase for that week? Is it even possible to buy
now or is my trip to close?

OK, presuming you're looking to 'rent' points (ie use a member's points for accommodation that week), it will all depend on where you want to stay and what size accommodation you will need.

The points charts here will give you an idea of how many points you need.

You then have two options. You can either post on the rent/trade board requesting a reservation at a specific resort (or any if you don't mind where you stay) for your dates.

Alternatively, where you see a post where someone is advertising points for rent/available, you can PM that person/respond to the thread with your requirements and they will let you know if they can help you out.

I hope that helps to explain it some more. Just to add, I rented points from someone for a trip we took last month and it worked out really well. If you don't have any luck on the R/T board, you could PM me and I will ask him if he could help you out.
