Newbie looking for help renting my points

Hello All. I'm a DVC member new to this board. I've been a member of DVC for about 5 years now, and for the first time, I've got points I'm not going to use (My wife just gave birth to our first child, and we don't plan on traveling for a few months). Is there someone out there with experience renting their points that can help me out getting started? I could use some tips on how the transactioon is handled and how payments are usually made, and such. Any help that you can provide this newbie would be greatly appreciated.

You can find some information about renting in the Rent/Trade FAQ's (the link is in the upper right on this page).

All details are negotiable between those involved, but in general you'll need to establish payment and cancellation policies that you can be comfortable with - since those issues are fully within your control.

You should plan a simple contract- spelling out what is expected of the renter and what you are providing - along with any deadlines you wish observed. Form of payment should also fit your level of comfort.

Enjoy the process- many have rented accommodations thru this board with great results.

Congratulations on the new baby, and good luck! I have no experience with renting, but if you go to the rent trade board and look at some of the posters there who are renting out points, they may have some suggestions for you on the type of contract to use etc.

Congartulations on the birth of your new child. When you do decide to rent your points I would be willing to purchase them from you. I need 107 points for a studio and am interested in staying at either the Beach Club or Boardwalk August 29 through September4, 2004.
