Does anyone have an opinion about the Fiskars oval and circle cutter?
I am just starting out and have so many questions....

TIA:)

I have them but I would recommend the Creative Memories blades and templates they are much more user friendly.

:welcome: aboard, and let us know if you have questions, everyone here is very helpful!

CM are really good - and very easy to use

:welcome: ! i also have the cm one. it works great when i use it. i hate to cut my pics, so i don't use it very often.

Well, actually my twin Buffy welcomed her here first... but I'm right behind her.. :welcome: Feel free to ask questions any time.. one of us is usually always sneaking around the boards!!! :)

I have the fiskar circle cutter and don't like it.. I'm a lefty and have the worst time with it.. My kids are righties and do okay with it... I'm glad I got my cricut to do the work now!

Nancy, Buffy, Buffy, Nancy. It's all the same. We are lefties, have a boat load of kids, and we are equally as insane. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We are totally interchangeable. :rotfl:

THANKYOU FOR THE QUICK RESPONSES!

Sorry for my delay...it's been a busy week!

I figured the CM blades would be better, but didn't know if I needed the "best" yet. I figured "good" supplies as a beginner might be okay. The Fiskars were on sale, but I don't want to waste money on something junky.

I have been practicing by putting together pictures from a summer cottage trip. I take a lot of pictures. I think I am "photo-albuming" not scapbooking! It will take a long time, I just want it done before our next trip in Dec 2008!:santa:

Thankyou again, I know I will have questions!
Is there a recommended resource? An "Unofficial Guide" for newbie scrappers? :)

I have been looking through lots of ideas here! Disers are so smart!:thumbsup2

HMMM, unofficial guide?? I don't really know of any. I kind of dove right in head first. You can try www.twopeasinabucket.com and look at their gallery. Also, Simple Scrapbooks is a good magazine with nice layouts.

But as for tools, it's really worth it to spend the extra money on the better ones. You will be better off in the long run.

Thankyou for the help. I will check into the tools over the weekend. I don't mind spending more if it is a better product.
The layouts will be very helpful! They are like The Unofficial Guide to Disney.:) Great detailed overview to get your mind going!
