Hi everyone! We're thinking about visiting Universal next year. We were there years ago when they first opened and wow has it changed since then. We know absolutely nothing about it now. I am starting to read the information here and I know I will learn alot. I also am going to need help with all the questions I know we will have. I guess I will start off asking if there are any room discounts ever offered at the hotels there and just what do you get with a standard room? Do any of the rooms have balconies? How big are the suites and how many people do they accomodate? I appreciate any help anyone can give me as I look forward to planning this trip.

Room discounts are: Supersaver (offered thru UO website occassionally), AAA, APH and Fla. resident

Standard room is just that.... usually 2 queen beds with mediocre view (minibar, and usually a coffee pot)...make sure you are a Loew's First member for the "perks"...upgrades, welcome gifts, late checkout, etc...)

Some rooms (VERY few suites) at PBH have balconies, but not at RPR or HRH

Fla. law states no more than 5 people per room. You can get a deluxe room w/ pullout sofabed for 5, or get a rollaway (extra charge)

There are stickys and FAQ's at the top of the resorts and UO parks boards which should answer some of your questions....but, ask away....we are here to clarify!

Thanks for turning me in the right direction bubba's mom! I have lots to learn.

You're welcome. If you go to the UO website, click hotels, then click "accomodations", they have floor plans of the different rooms there so you can see the layouts. ;)
