I think, we are ready to take the plunge. We love the feel of disneyworld and can't wait to go back. We took a trip Aug 2002 and stayed at the Polynesian which was great except for the cramped quarters. We definitely like the Condo life with 2 kids ages 2 and 6 years old. So, I have a few questions about purchasing:
Do you think we should purchase without visiting an actual unit?
We are considering Saratoga Springs (spelling?). My dh likes the fact that it has a longer life of 50 years. Anyways, how many points should we purchase? Our dd is in 1st grade. I pull her out of school one week a year but we usually do two vacations a year so, one of them would have to be in the summer. Were on traditional schedule so, we'd mostly like go in June, July or August? Never spring break (dh is a CPA). Probably not Xmas time. But maybe thanksgiving since, dd school gives us a week off. We'll probably only visit every other year? I sure these are famous last words but I live in CA and figured that would work the best for us.
I know maintenance fees are per point. Does anyone know how much Saratoga Springs projected maintenance fees are?
Are there any other resorts we should consider? We like MK because of the girls ages. We liked eating dinner at Epcot. When we went in Aug 2002 we basically spent the days at MK or Animal Kingdom and then ate dinner in Epcot somewhere. We loved the monorail system but could live with the buses or taxi for that matter.
I am going to put in a call tomorrow to the rep.
Thanks,
Tina
