Okay I noticed in the info. I got on Tuesday while at WDW that there is a hotel in Hershey PA that we could use our points at. It is inm the Conceirge Collection. I haven't gotten all my info. from my guide. He is mailing it to us this week. Anyway...I forgot exactly what that means. Could you please explain. We would like to spend a couple of days at Hershey Park and this hotel has good reviews. Thanks

DVC members may reserve the Concierge Collection 11 months in advance. Each resort/hotel in that collection has a point value for each day of the year and the point values would apply to the nites you want to reserve.

Reservations may be made thru MS.

Any of the non-DVC options add to the flexibility of the DVC program. The relative value of these options should be weighed and decided by each member.

We have used the Concierge Collection and really enjoyed our stays.

Thanks so much. I am looking forward to when I get my pin number so I can get onto the DVC member site. We live in a great area to take advantage of some of these for short weekend trips so that is why I am interested.

Thanks again.
Denise

Unless this is a new location the wife tried to stay there once and was told that we had to book for the whole week not just days. I do hope there is a new place as we would like to fo the same thing.

I just posted a question about using dvc points at a deluxe wdw resort and have a similar question about how many points would be required to stay at one of the participating concierge resorts-a "ballpark" estimate for a 3 night stay?:confused3

In my 2007-2008 handbook the resorts near Hershey are in the World Passport collection which is the one you book by the week. This can run from 124 points for a 1 BR in low season to a high of 270 points for a 2 BR in high season. However based on the one night rates for some of the concierge collection you could book the week, stay a few days and still come out equal or ahead of the game. The concierge collection runs from a low of 17 points a weekday night in value season in LaQuinta, CA to a high of 139 a night at Keystone, CO in the premium season. With both plans you also have a trading fee - $75 for world passport and $95 for concierge stays.
