Hello. I am very happy to have found this helpful site. I am wondering if anyone can tell me where to find info on the restaurants, I think I saw a thread about menus but I was wonderingng if there is somethig out there listing the food places by category. Also please recommend your fav Italian restaurant :) Thanks

I really can't recommend one. They are just not great. Will be interesting to see if that changes once the new Restaurant in Italy opens.

Sorry

We ate at Tony's last year under the free DDP and we had a really great meal!

DH and I are going back in October for our Anniversary and that is where we will be eating again.:thumbsup2

I also heard Mama Melrose's at MGM is good as well.

We've never eaten at Tony's. We weren't too impressed with Mama Melrose...but if you have a car...the places at Universal Studios' Portofino Have been very good in the past (haven't eaten there in over a year though), if a little pricey.

Last November we ate at a great restaurant called La Forchetta in Kissimmee (John Young Parkway). My sister's not particular about where she eats, and she was furious with me for driving past all the 'great' eateries on 192 to get there. When we arrived, it doesn't look like much from the outside, and I was nervous. We almost bailed, but we were very hungry, so we decided to give it a try. One step inside, and the aroma told us we were in for a treat! The food was EXCELLENT! The prices are reasonable for Italian food prepared by a family who cares. The service was excellent too. If you've got a car and get tired of the theme park atmosphere, this is well worth a visit. By the time we left, we felt like longtime friends of the owners. It's that kind of place.

While not strictly Italian, Spoodles cuisine has lots of Mediterranean roots, and the restaurant is wonderful.

If you'll check out our restaurant menus "sticky" thread, you can search the restaurants by cusine.
How about that new restaurant at the Swan--Il Mulino. Portobello Yacht Club is also upscale Italian. Unfortunately, neither is on the DDP.

Our favorite is not on the plan. We love Portabello Yacht Club at DTD. Mmmmm the seafood pasta dish is to die for.

My family also loved Portobello Yacht Club. We went at "lunch" (3:45) and the prices were much better.

My DD had the fisherman's stew (it had a much fancier name), and my mom had the bowtie pasta dish. Both were absolutely wonderful!
