Hi Claire :welcome: to the Dis!!!!!:)

Don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you need, there are no silly questions:) Although i've asked some daft ones in the past:rotfl2:
ASMo is a nice resort, we've stayed there a couple of times ourselves. It's good for a first timer. Good Luck with the transport.

Audrey:)

:welcome: To the Disboards Claire have fun browsing and just to give you a hint you can look for specific things in the search section the banner for previous questions and answers :thumbsup2
You will probably get lots of suggestions here but the choice is yours;)
We have stayed at All Star Movies once before, and All Star Music before they converted some rooms there into family suites which have more space but that's why the price is so much more.
We'll be back at Movies this June and we're looking forward to it :goodvibes It did occur to me that you could do a split stay vacation a week on-site and a week at another hotel where you can be closer to Universal, Islands of Adventure, Wet'n'Wild lots of hotels do either free buses to these parks or only charge a small fee for transport. Look at some hotels on line first and then enquire with the travel agents if this your family could do this option.
Some hotels do provide complimentary transport to the parks off I Drive and Disney's TTC where you can get Disney's buses to their parks or get the monorail which is really great fun or the ferry boat to MK
Ohh don't forget and umbrella buggy (with a hood and raincover ) which can be taken on the monorail (and most buses) and you can take it on the trains in Disney as long as it's folded down and it can save money renting one at the parks.

WELCOME TO THE BOARDS
:dance3:
We have stayed on and off in the last couple of years in a Villa as we had all generations of family staying from 5 to 65.

But when we stay on site we really enjoy Port Orleans River side.

Good luck
Sarah, James and Freya X
