Newbie has water park question

First timers going in May. We booked thru AAA and would like to go to a water park one day. If we add one day to our tickets would this get us into typoon lagoon one day? We have not purchased the park hopper, but maybe change our ressie to get the new special. Which is the way to go?

Take the Special...It's approx $50.00 to each ticket and you can go to any waterpark...disney quest...pleasure island (example: 8 night stay gives you 6 times you can either go to the water parks or disney quest or pleasure island and what ever else it said. Just to go one day will cost you approx $50.00 for each person. If you use it once it's worth the money.
