Newbie, guide me

Met Justin Jett on a disney bus about a week and a half ago, and he was telling me how great this place is...so here I am. I have no idea what I'm doing, or what to say. Anyone out there want to lead me down main street??

What Tom said. I suggest you listen to the latest podcasts (click on the "podcast" link on the top right side of the page). That will get you started. Otherwise, podcast chat is tonight at 9 pm ("chat" link is in the purple line on this page).

There is no formal initiation ritual here. People come here to post questions about all sorts of topics, whether related to the podcast or not (though we do try to relate it to Disney in some way). So, if you have just ask any questions you might have about the parks, the podcast, resort pool hopping, re-using resort mugs, or Skip's (Justin Jett) favorite, unrestricted use of Segways in the theme parks.

We only ask that you keep it polite and family oriented.

To the DIS. You have made the right choice. Like many others have sad, there is loads of information and just browse through the threads. We are very helpful in giving tips and tricks for visits or you can roam the threads for specific info regarding attractions, dining and resorts to name a few. Again, like it has been previously mentioned, check out the latest podcasts. Once again, WELCOME!!!

The only advice I have is to read the sticky about the abbreviations. It makes it easier when you see things like EE, SM or TTA, and know what they are talking about. If you are familiar with WDW, they are pretty easy to figure out, but some will stump you. Welcome. It is a fun board to be on, even if you are not planning a trip.
