Can you please advise the best hotel to stay in at Disneyland, is it better to stay in Disney hotel or one of the nearby hotels. We have never been to California before, so need loads of advice. Thank you so much.

If you can afford the onsite properties (esp. DLH and GCH) DO IT! It's almost like you never leave the parks and they're much closer. No traffic distractions reminding you of the world you're trying to leave behind, just Disney magic through and through. Ask about construction, though, for your intended dates.

If you're on a tighter budget (like we are this year), off site is better.

Thank you, we wondered about PPH, is that ok??
Lots of people love PPH. To me, it's far enough off the Disney path to just go with a cheaper, off site hotel. But others think it's fine. It could be a happy medium. It does have a fun pool area and some rooms have good park views.

If you have young kids, I HIGHLY recommend their character bkfst. SOOO much fun! Don't have to be a hotel guest for it, either.

How exciting to be going going for the first time. You will never forget that feeling as you cross under the train station and step into a magic world. There are plenty of inexpensive hotels within walking distance. There is nothing better than opening the park and closing it that night. Have fun!
