Newbie Dining Question

Greeting,
It has been 10 years since I went to Disney and I'm scheduled to go in a few weeks. This trip we have purchased a dining plan. I have made reservations for each of our days and have a question. If we get to the restaurant early, will they seat us when they have a table available, or will we need to wait until our reservation time?

Everyone has different experiences with this. I'm one of those people who is always early to everything (much to my family's chagrin) and we have had little success at getting seated before our ADR times. I've had 10 weeks there in the past 4 years and have only been seated early maybe twice in all of those meals.
