Thanks in advance for any guidance!

I like the prepaid aspect and I really like the idea that it gives our kids (who are teenagers ranging from 12 - 17) some freedom to not have every meal with us but to be covered for food without us having to field constant requests for cash. Although I suppose they could charge to the room with their MB right? We gave them spending privileges on a cruise last year with daily limits and they proved themselves trustworthy.

Are you limited to exactly what the plan provides in terms of the schedule? Or do you get to use your total number of TS meals and QS meals in any order? i.e. could you have two TS meals in one day and two QS in another? Or, perish the thought, could our 6'2" 17 year old boy eat all of his meals in the first 3 days if I'm not watching?

Also, how do they account for arrival and departure days? Will it include dinner the day we arrive (we are driving and plan to be there mid afternoon) and breakfast the day we leave?

When you check in at the resort you will be given all of the dining credits and you can start using them immediately. They can be used in any order you wish (e.g. 2 CS one day, 0 on the next.) And yes, your son could use everyone's credits by himself because all of the credits are loaded onto everyone's MB so just make sure he knows how many credits are his. :)

Your credits are based on the number of nights you stay so once you've checked in they can be used for dinner that night. If you have any credits leftover on your check out day they will be good until 11:59 PM that night.

The full allotment is available to you at the moment you check in and is good until midnight of your check-out day. You can use them in any order you want. And, yes, your DS could use not only all of his, but ALL of your meals in three days if he doesn't understand how it works.

Just to help you decide, since you have all Disney adults, a TS credit is roughly worth $37.50 (including tax), a QS is $17.00, and snacks are $4.00. If you don't think you will "spend" this much or more at the majority of your meals, you'd be better OOP. And, yes, you can give them charging privileges back to the room, so you don't have to make sure they have cash.
