Newbie Cruiser-- question about Castaway Cay rentals

Hey--

My family is brand new to cruising. We're doing a three-day cruise on the Dream in June. I don't know exactly what/how much we'll want to do on Castaway Cay, but we're strictly interested in the low-cost items like floats, snorkel equipment and bikes. Are these the kinds of things that could be SOLD OUT on the day we're there? Am I being foolish not renting these ahead of time? Or do they always have these in abundance?

I have never seen floats sell out. Also, if you wait until later in the day you might be able to pick up one another family has left behind when re-boarding.

Don't pre-pay. They won't run out. The only thing I might consider is a bike rental combo if it looks like a combo is cheaper, but there is so much to do and just take in on the one afternoon you will be there, just walking around, laying on the beach and splashing in the water is great! And there are included children's areas and that pelican plunge slide area that are included as well. We like to lie around! We have snorkled and it's fun to go see the sunken stuff they have out in the snorkel area. It's not terribly far or hideously deep, but you do have to swim a ways and my older son ( with aspergers) could not do the snorkeling thing and that was a bust. I have heard that from other cruisers that the snorkeling depends a little on your ability. Not that I am a great snorkel we, but it might not add anything for young kiddos. Have a great time!​

Do not worry about stuff running out. There are plenty of bikes if you wish to rent at last minute. I just returned from the Fantasy last week and had to do a walk up rental of snorkel equipment (left some equipment at home) and had no trouble renting. We have done the same with floats.
