Newbie booking question.

I am planning to purchase points at two different resorts (direct); potentially 100 points at OKW and 50 points at BWV. The rep I am in communication with told me that when booking at 11 months at BWV I will only be able to book using the 50 BWV points, and then at 7 months I will be able to book at BWV using the remaining points. Is this the case?

Correct. Points can only be used at their home resort in the 7-11 month window.

We talk in terms of you having 2 home resorts, but in reality, it is the points that have the home resort priority, not you.

You could book with the OKW points at seven months out IF there was still availability at BWV. There are going to be plenty of times when you won't find anything available at seven months out. Like from Sept through January and any RunDisney event weekend.

But you could bank your first year of BWV points, borrow the third year's points and use three years worth of points (150) during the second year at 11 months out at BWV. You could do this every three years.
