Hi all, I've booked my first holiday to WDW for September 201, we are staying for two weeks at OKW.

excited isn't the word as this has been a childhood dream of mine.

We got booked when they had the free Dinning plan offer on so obviously took advantage of that.

I have a couple of things i'm unsure of and wonder if anyone can help.

I'm confused about tipping and tax when using the DDP, so if I use my snack, table or counter service options do I still need to pay tax on that and do I need to tip? If we pay tax how do we calculate and pay that?

I'm so unsure of the etiquette of it all. Sorry if this has been asked before x

Tax is included but at TS restaurants you will have to add the to. This will be 18% of what the bill would have been. $7 per adult and $3 per child is a good guesstimate for this figure. Hope this helps.

Welcome to DISboards.

Tax is included in the DDP you only need to pay the tip (plus any extras you want)
At the bottom of your bill is how much they recommend you tip, if there are 5 of you or less then you pay what you feel the service is worth, 8 times out of 10 I would say the service is worth the 18%, 1 out of 10 not good enough so I lower the tip, 1 out of 10 fantastic service so I will leave 20% or more. If tehre are 6 or more dining then 18% is automatically added.
18% is on the food value not the total food & tax value, so if its $100+tax= $106.50 you tip $18 not $19.17
No tips required for CS or snacks although I do tip a small amout ($5 for 3 of us) at Wolfgang Puck Express., its lafway between CS & TS.
You will pick it up soon enough when you get there
