Newbie AP holder questions

My wife and I are going in January as she is running the Disney Marathon. We bought APs for the fist time for our July trip. The questions I have are:

1) When do the AP room-only discounts come out next?
2) When is the next Mickey Monitor due? We've never received one.
3) Is there a way to replace our flimsy APs with plastic ones? Seems silly that they supply people staying 2 nights with plastic cards, yet the APs are really cheesy.

1. AP rates is a real sensitive area right now. No AP rates have been published after August 23. Normally one or two months in advance they are available but some rumors say they may be gone for a while or forever due to Disney's emphasis on package plans.
2. Monitor was issued early August. Try this website http://www.themeparks.com/wdw/monitor0803.htm
3. AP holders just get the "carboard" cards. They are pretty tough but don't get them wet or keep them by other credit cards because the magnetic strip might get damaged. No real problem just more time at turnstyle.

Shouldn't I get the Monitor in the mail as an AP holder?
