Newbie again!

So it's been years since I was on a Disney cruise and I'm a bit lost. Is fish extenders still a thing? I also saw something about ducks??? Where can I find this info? Were sailing on the Alaskan 9 night cruise July 24th, 2023. It's my husband and step son's first cruise and I want to make it memorable.

Fish extenders are now but a shadow of their previous self. We've cruised twice since the restart and have seen very few FE's around.

we're on that cruise too - we were big FE people, candy exchange, and ornaments, but now we're into magnets and ducks - easier to carry - and just as fun - there were people who would take gifts out of FE's so we decided that magnets and random ducks are better - but in reality - depending on how old your step-son is - you could ask him what he would like to do - when we did do FE's we decided to pick just a couple of days to gift so that if the kids found friends in the clubs they didn't have to leave to do the gifting - and ducks can be placed as you walk around - we're not tagging our ducks - we got them on a sale - so look for mini-valentine ducks and they're from us - plus more

FE are still a thing in almost all of the cruise FB groups. Also yes hiding ducks is as well. Hiding ducks started with Carnival so its much more known there but there are quite a few people who hide ducks on Disney cruises as well! In my cruise group (Sept) there are a good handful of people already talking about ducks.
