Hello All,

Not sure if this question is answered somewhere else, but I haven't come across it. My husband and I are going to Disney for the first time this August. We got the DDP and I made our reservations already. I have an Aunt in Florida who may meet up with us on two days of our trip. I went ahead and made the ressies for those two days for 3 people instead of 2. If she decided not to go, do I need to call and change the reservations to 2 people or should I just let them know when we get there that there will only be 2 of us?

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that reservations can get lost in the shuffle when you call and make changes, so I am worried about that happening. Also can I call at any point and confirm all of my ressies just to make sure? Thanks for any help!

We had the same situation a couple of years ago with MIL and FIL joining us for part of the stay. We made all of our ADRs to include them, but they left a couple of days early. We just went to the restaurants and told them when we arrived. There was no problem at all.

If you have adr's at a character meal or a dinner show, you will be charged for the "no show" - these are at ads that needed to be secured w/a credit card. If not, it's not imperative to change reservation, but I think it's polite and the right thing to do. Just be sure to get the new confirmation #. It is a good idea to confirm the adr's before leaving home - if you reach a cm that is unpleasant about it, hang up and talk to someone else. I have found that as long as I have my adr confirm#'s all is good - twice over the years they had "lost" my adr, (or ps back then) but because I have my numbers, they always accomadated me w/o issue.

Thanks guys for the help. I don't have any ressies for character meals, so that shouldn't be an issue. As soon as I find out if we will have the third person or not I will call and make the changes if we need them. Thanks again for the help!

some how Hollywood and Vine had us down for 11 people for dinner......we were 9.......they did not charge for those extra two or make a big deal.......she said oh someone goofed.....
