Newark long-term parking

HI All!
Has anyone parked their car in Newark airport long term parking for 7 days? Is this an easy way to go to the airport? Unfortunately, our flight leaves very very early and we didn't want to spend the money on a limo or car service. This seems to be a little cheaper. I'm just concerned about the tram that takes you to the terminal. Any one have any problems doing this?

Hi there,
Have never used the airport long-term parking, but we have used two different offsite LT parking companies with success. I believe the one I preferred was called "Vista?" Their shuttles came quickly and the drivers were safe and courteous. Our rate was $9 a day plus tax. There are other companies in Elizabeth that will charge the same rate w/o tax.

We use Avistar. They have a website which I think is www.avistarparking.com. It's a fenced in area with free shuttle service to the terminal. I was surprised how easy it was.

I will personally not leave my car at Newark airport itself. Seen to many smashed windows for me.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I called avistar parking and they explained everything to me. Thank goodness theres a waiting room for the shuttle. Its going to be -2 degrees Friday morning and I don't want to be stuck waiting outside in my shorts! LOL
