I have been lurking on these boards for quite some time and finally decided that after responding to so many posts in my head, it was time to join in and come out of lurkdome ;) We're in the process of planning a follow up trip to our 2009 stay at the Treehouse Villas. I'm sure I'll be back with questions.

I for one would love to hear about the treehouse villas. Every time I go by them in the water taxis I drool. It's my dream to stay there. Are they hard to get into? Expensive? Is it easy enough to get to and around the property from them?

We absolutely LOVED the Treehouse Villas. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Although I do think we sort of lucked out as I think we reserved in March '09 for a September '09 stay and we had free dining. Since then I've spoken to two DVC CMs and they said we were lucky to get them at all. Apparently they fill up pretty quickly. When we went we had our family of 4 + 2 other adults and the set up was perfect, the size was perfect. We never had any transportation problems. There are busses but we usuallly just walked and cut through the golf course to get to the SSR bus stops. Sadly, we didn't make much use of the SSR itself but we were short on time. They are a bit pricey BUT actually not as expensive as the other 3 bedrooms (and some 2 bedrooms).

Fellow NY'er here who has also decided to stop lurking (for years) and start joining these awesome and helpful discussions. = )

I've never stayed at the Treehouse, but am looking forward to hearing more about it. Cheers!

Howdy, I'm another recent de-lurker, who decided it was time to plunge into the discussion. I'm sure we'll both be glad we did.

I stayed in one of the treehouse villas around 1999 or 2000, and it was incredible. If memory serves, upstairs, there were 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and a small kitchen. Down a spiral staircase, in the "trunk" of the treehouse was another bedroom. I seem to recall an additional exterior door down there (keep it in mind if you have little ones).

I was traveling with a buddy, and it was a lot more room than we needed. We were both heavy snorers, and neither of us ever heard the other. :rotfl:

The area around the treehouse was very quiet and tranquil (there are other parts of the resort that get a considerable amount of DTD noise). I recall the bus stop being quite convenient to our treehouse, but fior the life of me, I've no idea which treehouse we had. It's sad getting old. :sad2:

Anyhow, if you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
