My wife and I just booked the Nov 3rd cruise from NYC to Bahamas. Question for anyone who’s done this cruise in the past.

How do fast passes work for the day at Disney world? Do you get to book fast passes and meals as if you had a pro ticket on a normal Disney trip?

You will get three VIP fastpasses that can be used on any current attraction including FOP. There may be limits on the new Toy Story attractions, but no way to know until after they open the new land.

I was able to add the hard tickets we got on board to MDE and also book regular fastpasses. The important thing to remember is to arrive at these fast pass attractions on time. If you are early or late, it will use one of the VIPs.

ADRs can be made 180 days in advance, just like normal.

We did this cruise in October. You can book your WDW meals at the 180 day mark on the WDW site (not through DCL). We received hard tickets (park hoppers) two nights before our WDW day. They came preloaded with 3 anytime, any ride FPs. I loaded the tickets into MDE while on the ship and was able to book 3 FPs per person (in addition to the 3 VIP FPs). We started our WDW day with 6 FPs each. When our cruise check-in window opened up, we booked transportation to the parks under the Port Adventures link). It was pretty seamless. Enjoy!

Yes! Thank you! We're sailing this itinerary in November and I'm obsessing about the planning!

As a follow up, how was the water cruising down and back? I’ve been on a cruise from Boston to Bermuda and it was quite choppy the further out your went. Wasn’t sure if perhaps it’s not as bad seeing how you likely do venture out quite as far on this cruise.

We didn’t the NYC to Nova Scotia in 2016 and it was so easy taking the cruise out of this port. I said to my wife that this cruise to Disney and Castaway Cay would be my ideal trip cause it’s four days at sea, a day at the island and we get to be in Disney without even flying.

I’m and beyond excited for this trip!!

Theoretically it gets worse the later the season. Ours was bad last year (over thanksgiving). There was a gale warning the day we left so pretty rocky. And the second to last day was bad too but th last day was perfectly calm.
So a higher chance of being rough seas but still could go either way.

I sailed it back in 2012 and it really is the most fantastic layout of sea days vs. port days. But that cruise was in June, so the packing now is driving me bonkers! :sad2: From what I've heard, they've made some great improvements to the Disney day though, so that makes me happy!

Hi, just read your quote, how did you get 6 fast passes, my family & I are cruising Nov 10-17 N.Y. - Bahamas and I thought you can only get 3 fast passes.

Three VIP fast passes come pre-loaded on your ticket. I loaded the tickets into the My Disney Experience app and assigned each ticket to a member of the family. I was then able to book three fast passes for specific attractions/times for each person (for a total of 6 each). It was obvious in the app that these were in addition to, and not instead of, the VIP fast passes (this was my concern before doing it). Many folks were making the FP reservations on the bus on the way to the parks, but I saved my 50MB of free internet to do it on the ship and was able to get all three attractions I wanted at the times I wanted them. It worked out great for us. We did all the attractions we'd hoped to do for the day before our 5:15pm ADR at Be Our Guest.

We'll be on the Nov 10th sailing this year as part of our honeymoon. Does anyone know what the timeline is for the Disney World day? I'm wondering what time you have to catch the bus back to the ship. Any information would be awesome, I'm having a hard time finding a lot of reviews and feedback about this itinerary so if anyone has a link to some that would be awesome as well.

To go to the parks, your select an excursion bus time. You'll be able to do that once you've reached your cruise excursion date. Buses ran to all four parks, with the earliest leaving before 8 AM. Buses also returned from all four parks, and you can leave from any park that you wish since Your pass will be a park hopper. This link should be helpful to you with time information, I did not sail on the same cruise, but the bus information was the same.

FYI - We did this cruise out of NYC in 2016. It was our third cruise and the smoothest one we were on. Plus for some reason New York was very warm when we left. It's a great cruise & the sea days are so magical. If you are drinkers, try the liquor and chocolate pairing seminar.

We did mid November we had great weather smooth sailing the whole time but the week before they got some rough weather so really hit and miss... Disney was great we booked extra fast passes on the bus on way to magic kingdom... all the parks had different last bus times we ended our day at Epcot last bus was 945 think magic kingdom last bus was 11
